How Numed Delivers Seamless Fixed Mobile Imaging Before the Unit Ever Arrives

BY Numed, Inc

Fixed mobile imaging should expand access to care, not introduce uncertainty, delays, or last-minute problem solving. Many operational challenges surface only after a mobile unit arrives on site. That’s why Numed begins the fixed mobile process well in advance. Our early preparation process reduces risk, supports predictable timelines, and creates a smoother transition to clinical operations.

System Validation at Numed’s Service Center

Before a mobile unit ever leaves Numed’s Service Center, both the system and trailer undergo a rigorous and comprehensive internal review. Operational readiness is confirmed, performance is verified to OEM specifications, and potential issues are addressed early to ensure the unit arrives ready for installation and clinical use, not for troubleshooting.

Pre-Delivery Planning and Site Readiness Coordination

Preparation continues with a structured pre-delivery worksheet that aligns expectations across the Facility, Numed, and the transport partner. Delivery timing, points of contact, and exact trailer placement are confirmed in advance. Site-specific details are reviewed to support safe and efficient delivery, including:

  • Overhead clearance and turning radius
  • Curbs, landscaping, and ambulance routes
  • Security requirements
  • Temporary road or parking closures

Facilities are also guided on readiness items, such as local electrical support for phasing adjustments and secure access to the unit when installation is completed after hours. By addressing these details ahead of time, Numed helps Facilities prevent delivery delays, avoid last-minute changes, and maintain uninterrupted operations.

On-Site Installation, Testing, and Clinical Acceptance

After delivery and connection to shore power, Numed’s Field Service Engineers manage installation and setup. We confirm trailer operations; validate systems to OEM specifications; complete scan quality assurance testing; and finalize IT, network, and phone connections. Once we connect with the Facility, we:

  • Provide a walkthrough of the unit and imaging system
  • Address potential questions before they become issues
  • Document acceptance to support a clear transition into clinical use

This results in a faster, more confident progression to scanning, with minimal disruption to clinical schedules.

A Trusted Partner in Fixed Mobile Imaging
