Why Customer Service Wins

Of the major trade shows in the health care industry, there are not many as consistently successful and educational as the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) annual meeting. With its influential attendees of over 55,000 medical professionals every year, the opportunities to learn about the latest technological advances and upcoming industry trends are unparalleled. For Numed, it is essential that we participate in conferences like this. We attend to better understand how we can adapt to industry changes and how to offer our partners the latest tools and techniques to maintain the highest levels of patient care.


Health care as a whole continues to be transformed by technology, and this was certainly evident at the conference this year, as RSNA placed health IT at the forefront of its many tracks. The changes are already being felt as hospitals and health systems advance in their digital techniques and transition to new ways of providing care. Many speakers discussed how artificial intelligence, cloud technology and digital health will influence radiology in the coming years.


Another important aspect of the conference was our opportunity to visit with many of the leading manufactures and vendors in radiology. They set up extensive booths in the exhibit halls where we were able to learn about their products and services. The expert information they share is one of the reasons we invest time in attending so we can better understand the differences in their various offerings. As stated on our website, “Our industry knowledge is our competitive edge.”  RSNA allows us the opportunity to hone that knowledge to best serve our existing and future partners.  We use that knowledge to fine tune a business and service model that has been developed and refined for over 40 years.  We firmly believe in the uniqueness of every relationship and in our ability to accommodate the specific needs of our partners and the communities they serve.


As a representative of Numed, I was able to connect directly with many of our partners attending and exhibiting at the conference. Despite not being explicitly addressed, customer service is often an understated benefit of attending RSNA. While most of the speakers, symposiums and exhibits focus on the latest and greatest advances in and clinical utility of radiologic technology, one of our goals is to ultimately connect directly with our clients and discuss with them how best to leverage these advances for their specific situations. As experienced members of the health imaging industry and having led in the delivery of radiological technology for over four decades, our partners benefit from our history of staying ahead of the curve in technological advances.
