Seamless Coordination and Installation: How Numed Ensures a Flawless Diagnostic Imaging Set Up

At Numed, we understand that providing an imaging system with a smooth installation process is crucial for the success of your facility. Whether you’re preparing for an in-house install or a fixed mobile setup, we take pride in our meticulous coordination process.

To create a comprehensive installation plan, we’ll need some specifics from your facility. Here’s how we ensure that everything goes off without a hitch:

Identifying Key Contacts: The first step in our process is identifying the key contacts at your facility, as well as any outside vendors involved in the installation. This includes everyone from your facility’s project managers to city, state, and national agencies that may have credentialing requirements. By working closely with each contact, we can determine the specific needs of each department and ensure that nothing is overlooked.

Collaboration and Planning: Once we’ve identified the key players, we dive into the details. We work with your facility and contractors to gather all the information needed for the install, from room layout and power requirements to environmental needs and any special considerations. If your project involves a fixed mobile installation, we take extra care to ensure that there’s sufficient access and egress for the mobile unit, which typically measures 8’ x 48’, plus the tractor cab. Sometimes we can handle this through mapping software and photos, but we’re always prepared to review the site in person if necessary.

Installation and Approval: With a solid plan in place, our team will proceed with the installation, checking out all functions of the system as we go. We’ll coordinate with your facility and contractors to ensure that the process is seamless and timely. Once the system is installed, we work closely with all parties, including any needed physicists, to get the necessary approvals, as well as your facility’s IT/PACS information to ensure that the system is fully integrated into your network. This ensures that everything is ready for patient scanning before we turn the system over to your facility for use.

Tailoring the Process to the Modality: We understand that different modalities come with different requirements. Whether it’s the need for a chiller, lead-lined walls, RF shielding, or specific safety requirements, we tailor our process to meet the unique needs of the modality being installed. This ensures that your system is set up correctly and ready to perform at its best.

Whether your systems installation is for the short or long term, we ensure that all safety and operational requirements are met. At Numed, we’re committed to making the installation process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Our team works diligently to ensure that every detail is handled with care, so you can focus on what matters most—providing excellent care to your patients.
